Travelers Inn exhibits significant issues with cleanliness, pests, and outdated infrastructure. Recent reviews detail roach infestations, stained linens, and a generally dilapidated appearance. While some appreciate the spacious rooms and amenities, the overall experience appears to be plagued by problems requiring substantial renovation.
Booked a hotel room for a nice price then the next day I got a cancellation email regarding my rooms and when I tried to call them it was just a never ending circle of talking to the same two or maybe one person. But when I finally got to the end because they couldn’t keep playing the same game it was a “so sorry for your room but for $300 more you can book the same rooms we just canceled on you”. So dont book with these scam artists, just trying to get the most money out of a not so clean junky room
There is so much to say about my visit to The Travelers Inn. On arrival, I could see the building’s cold, sterile presence – an architectural tribute to the Soviet era. Several admonitions were posted throughout, suggesting the place was run with military precision. Signs chastised pet owners who “are not pick up after their dogs” and patrons who leave laundry in the machines “any long than that” beyond 35 minutes. Meanwhile, the clientele appeared delightfully colorful and room service was almost non-existent. The dichotomy was confusing. The room itself had a “well-loved since 1985” appearance and aroma. I stepped into the restroom and was quickly greeted by two bugs I identified as the species "cockus roachius". I would see several more over the next few days which gave the place a cozy, shared-living atmosphere. The sheets deserve their own paragraph. The bedding had been made nicely but looked to have endured multiple economic downturns. On the side of my sheet was a crusted substance. Near the center were some dark red spots. There were tears in the off-white fabric. The sheets obviously had not been changed and had the stretched-out, exhausted look of an old pair of whitey-tighties that had survived years of loyal service. One of my pillows smelled distinctly of a woman’s head. I asked the front office for new sheets, and they kindly obliged. I laid them over the dirty ones and felt much better. As I settled and nuzzled into the scented pillowcase, I wondered who this mystery woman was. What did she look like? What was her story? The next morning, I entered the bathroom and watched the roaches scurry to the corners. The bathtub featured a tiny assortment of two soaps, lotion, conditioner, and one and a half bottles of shampoo. One shampoo bottle was missing its cap, so I opted for the “new” one. These soaps were the tiniest I had ever seen - the size at which I would normally discard mine is where for these, new life began. I wondered if the housekeeping staff was possibly very small people. The area behind the toilet was fully neglected. The yellow buildup was impressively thick. On closer inspection, I determined it had not been cleaned this year or last but likely sometime fall of 2023. Yet, if the housekeepers were tiny people, they certainly would have caught this oversight. It was a mystery. I was pleased though to see the bathroom had been furnished with an extended shower. After construction, bright blue duct tape covered the large holes in the wall allowing for the expansion. At nightfall, when lifting my pillow, I found a small bug. I named him Hank and promptly flicked him into the wall. That night, I dreamed I was on a Riviera cruise. “Hank and the Roaches” headlined as a cover band. Hank wore a wrap on his leg - sprained from the wall incident - but he didn’t seem to hold it against me. They performed a delightful Spanish cover of “Livin’ La Vida Loca.” The roaches were particularly skilled on the trumpets and maracas. The next morning, I was awakened by small rays of sunshine beaming down through worn holes in the curtains. It was the first morning I noticed the burnt-out lights and the missing battery from the smoke detector. Nine-volt batteries can be pricey though so I’m sure frugality had put them to more pressing needs. On the downside, my anxiety increased as my soap supply dwindled. Eventually, I inquired at the front desk for more of these tiny bars. The gentleman looked around a bit and said he had none. I assumed the commissary must be closed on weekends. I initially panicked, but thankfully I’ve watched several prison documentaries. Instinct took over. I gathered all the scraps and slivers of soap I could find, pressed them together tightly, and formed a patty-cake of sorts. This would carry me through my final shower. Ultimately, I must give the Traveler’s Inn a two-star review due to unmet expectations. Would I stay again at a more appropriate $39-$59 per night? Certainly.
I never give 1 stars but man we killed 5 roaches in a 1night stay,my bedsheet has bloodstains and the tub was coverd in hairs. in the netherlands thats a serieus health hazard that gets you shut down a cockroach is a disgusting animal..
Very spacious room. Bathroom was huge. The shower was great, very hot water. Nice fridge and microwave. Forgot my charger cord and wall box in the room. Called and they found it and held it for me to return to pick it up. We did find a cockroach ? in our room before leaving. I reported it to the owner.
Will not the greatest by far kind of lower to medium Hotel. Good place for a cheap night but was a little run-down and could definitely use a little bit of love. Are no roaches or any bugs or anything it just goes another hotel and they needed some love. How to look like some of the guests have been there for weeks on end but again have no problems no issues I got good sleep if you're looking for a nice inexpensive place to sleep this is it.
